DIRECTOR'S
CORNER
Director’s Corner
A few months ago a Chamber
member approached me about
his concerns with the Rt. 82
bridge
reconstruction and how it
will affect his business. He
had heard many rumors
regarding road closure.
I called Macedonia City Hall and arranged a meeting between those
businesses in close
proximity to
the bridge and Macedonia
Engineer Fred Tufts.
Although the news was not
all good, rumors were
straightened out and
questions were answered
truthfully and honestly.
This is a prime example of
your Chamber responding to a
need voiced by a member.
In the last few months, the
flavor/focus of our
Business-to-Business
Development Group has been
changing. Although created
as a lead-generating group,
the members have been more
interested in
sharing problems AND
successes they’ve
experienced within their
businesses, instead of
referrals.
To satisfy that need, the
group iss fine-tuning their
mission to be more of a
small business support
group where they can all
learn how to make their
businesses more successful.
Ron Haines will
re-construct his B2B Leads
Generating Group in March.
The point here is that your
Chamber
listened to what you wanted,
and we delivered.
Many members have been
wondering why we don’t have
monthly lunch meetings
during the
summer months. The reasons
we once had no longer apply,
so we have scheduled lunch
meetings for June, July and
August. You asked for it –
you got it!!!!
So what do YOU need from
your Chamber? If you let us
know, we’ll do our best to
satisfy that need.
Your Board of Directors is
listed on the back page of
this newsletter. Their
contact information is
included so that you, our
members, can contact them
with suggestions, concerns
or testimonials.
My phone number (330-467-8956) is on almost every piece of promotional
material that is
distributed.
Give me a call! Tell me what
you want from your Chamber.
Let’s talk about it. With
membership
topping 300, there’s not
much we can’t do together.
That’s my opinion. I’d
appreciate hearing yours.
